If you’re here to learn about Toaq’s tones, please read Secs 3 and 4 of the Toaq reference grammar (this one and the page right after that).

This template lets you paste nice tone images without having to worry about pasting images. The first argument has to be the numeric name of the tone itself; the second argument – optional – controls the size of the image embed.

Available tones

Canon

  • rising tone 2 – rising tone
  • rising-creaky tone 3 – rising-creaky tone
  • falling tone 4 – falling tone
  • rising-falling tone 5 – rising-falling tone
  • mid-falling tone 6 – mid-falling tone
  • falling creaky tone 7 – falling creaky tone
  • neutral tone 8 or 0 – neutral tone

Old canon, now deprecated

  • flat tone 1 – flat tone
  • falling-rising tone (obsolete 3rd tone) 3old – falling-rising tone (previous form of the third tone rising-creaky tone)
